JAKARTA - Crowded discussion on social media highlighted the scavengers that the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini met during a blusukan on Jalan MH Thamrin.

"Mrs. Risma Blusukan, homeless smartphones are the spotlight of netizens," wrote the account @tante_rempong_ quoted on Wednesday, January 6.

The highlight was also in the reply to the Twitter account @PDI_Perjuangan who uploaded a video of Risma's conversation with a scavenger.

"I just found out that a homeless person has a smartphone, the headset looks new and clean, the mask is also new, smokes too. Then I want to be interviewed and want to be sent home. Usually, they are afraid to run away and don't want to be sent home (because they have lost their livelihood). "write the account @ kyubiiekor9 in the reply.

Responding to this, the Head of the Central Jakarta Social Service, Ngapuli Parangin-Angin admitted that his party had been looking for the scavenger found by Risma. However, the scavengers were not found.

"We were looking for the person but we did not find him. We did not find him again to the surrounding village," said Ngapuli when confirmed by VOI.

Ngapuli said, after Minister of Social Affairs Risma carried out blusukan in a number of locations in the capital, Central Jakarta Sub-department of Social Affairs together with Jakarta Satpol PP combed back to catch any scavengers still hanging around.

"Last night the Satpol PP has netted, backed up from behind by the Social Service, there are 29 people who are being temporarily accommodated at the Tanah Abang Sports Hall," said Ngapuli.

Meanwhile, there are 10 people with social welfare problems (PMKS) who have been assessed and transferred to the Pangudi Luhur Social Home belonging to the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Some of the other homeless people are still in the assessment process. "PMKS who are elderly are brought to the nursing home. If he is ODGJ, we will take him to the Bina Laras Social Home," said Ngapuli.
