Pertamina EP Successfully Get Additional Oil And Gas Production From Adera Field
JAKARTA - Pertamina EP (PEP) Cooperation Contractors (KKKS) Adera Field, which is part of the Subholding Upstream Pertamina Regional Sumatra Zone 4 has succeeded in increasing oil and gas production from BNG-D2 (BNG-54) and BNG-B2 (BNG-55) wells.
It is known that the oil production from the BNG-D2 (BNG-54) well is 2,473 barrels of oil per day (Barrel of Oil per Day/BOPD) and the BNG-B2 (BNG-55) well is 1,585 BOPD. This figure exceeds the production target for both wells, where the BNG-D2 (BNG-54) well production target is 458 BOPD, and the BNG-B2 (BNG-55) well production target is 378 BOPD.
Not only getting oil, but the two wells also produce gas that exceeds the target. The BNG-D2 (BNG-54) well produces gas of 2.54 million standard cubic feet (Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day/MMSCFD) or 976 percent of the 0.26 MMSCFD target. Meanwhile, the BNG-B2 (BNG-55) well produces 5.44 MMSCFD gas or 326 percent of the 1.67 MMSCFD target.
General Manager of Zone 4, Agus Amperianto, said that the result was a positive signal for the realization of the 2023 Work Plan (RK).
"We will continue to make maximum efforts in achieving the production target and implementing good HSSE aspects in all aspects of operational activities," Agus said in a statement quoted on Thursday, February 16.
Senior Manager of Sub Surface Development & Planning (SSDP) Zone 4, Giyatno, added that the two wells were the result of the collaboration of the Pertamina Subsurface and Oil and Gas SKK Subsurface teams for the acceleration of RK 2024, continuing the success of the previous 3 drilling wells in Benuang structure, namely BNG-B1, BNG-D1 and BNG-E1 in 2022.
"In addition to exceeding the production target and the success of accelerating the Work Plan, the company has also managed to manage drilling costs efficiently with a 91 percent budget realization for BNG-D2 and 90 percent for BNG-B2," said Giyatno.
Supporting the drilling achievement of the Benuang well, Deputy for Exploitation of SKK Migas, Wahju Wibowo, expressed his appreciation to Pertamina for working hard and making massive efforts, as well as in ways that are out of the box, to explore the potential production of existing structures in the Benuang PEP WK area.
The realization of drilling results from 2 additional BNG-B2 and BNG-D2 wells created excellent optimism at the beginning of the year. Which will continue with the development of Benuang structure. in 2023, as part of the struggle to achieve the national production target of 1 million BOPD oil and 12 BSCF gas in 2030," said Wahju.
