Attorney's Value Expert No Appeal For Sentences 1 Year 6 Months In Bharada E Prison
Trisakti University legal expert Abdul Fickar Hadjar said that the public prosecutor (JPU) should not appeal against the one-year-old decision Richard totaling or Bharada E. This decision is considered to have fulfilled the element of justice.
"The prosecutor should not appeal. Moreover, the other defendants are in accordance and even exceed the demands," Fickar told VOI, Thursday, February 17.
Fickar assessed that the judge's decision against Bharada E was correct. The punishment given has appreciated the status of justice collaborator or the witness of the perpetrator who worked together.
"The award for JC is a law order. Therefore, institutions that do not respect JC are the same as violating the law," he said.
As previously reported, Richard was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison for being found guilty and involved in a series of premeditated murder cases against Yosua Nopriansyah alias Brigadier J. He was found guilty of violating Article 340 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph 1 to (1) of the Criminal Code.
"The defendant was sentenced to imprisonment for 1 year and 6 months," said Chief Judge Wahyu Iman Santoso during a trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, February 15.
The judge gave the defendant and prosecutor seven working days to follow up on the verdict. The verdict handed down was lighter than the prosecutor's demands, which was 12 years in prison.
In this case, the panel of judges has also sentenced the former Head of the Propam Division of the National Police Ferdy Sambo and his wife, Putri Candrawathi; Strong Ma'ruf; and Ricky Rizal.
Ferdy Sambo was sentenced to death. Meanwhile, Putri Candrawathi was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Then, the panel of judges sentenced Ma'ruf to 15 years in prison. Meanwhile, Ricky Rizal was sentenced to 13 years in prison.
