Ahead Of Ramadan, PPKS Menjamur In West Jakarta, Satpol PP Beritndak

JAKARTA - The West Jakarta City Government has mapped 65 points prone to the activity of the Social Welfare Service Government (PPKS) based on the monitoring of local Social Service Sub-Department (Sudinsos) officers.

"In West Jakarta, there are 65 PPKS vulnerable points. Most PPKS in the Grogol area, such as homeless people, beggars, silver people and so on," said West Jakarta Kasudinsos, Suprapto when quoted from Antara, Wednesday, February 15.

The majority of these 65 points are close to public areas such as terminals, protocol roads to tourist attractions.

To anticipate the emergence of PPKS activities at that location, his party deployed 80 officers to guard.

Satpol PP officers stand guard for two stages, namely 07.00-15.00 WIB and 15.00-23.00 WIB.

Officers will reach all PPKS who are caught in action. After being reached, his party will take PPKS to social institutions for further guidance.

PPKS that has been successfully reached will undergo a 14-day coaching process at a social institution. "We will also repatriate PPKS who live outside Jakarta," he said.

Ahead of the fasting month of Ramadan in March, his party has also anticipated a surge in PPKS from outside the region by guarding several houses of worship and residential areas.

With these efforts, he hopes that PPKS activities in the West Jakarta (Jakbar) area can be reduced so that residents can carry out their activities comfortably.
