A 10-year-old Boy Sinking In The Batanghari Jambi River Is Still Not Found
JAMBI - A 10-year-old boy who played in the sand slipped and drowned in the Batanghari River, Jambi. The joint SAR team jumped into the search.
"Basarnas Jambi received information from the Teluk Ketapang Village apparatus, Pemayung District, Batang Hari Regency that a dangerous condition of human life had occurred, namely one child or a child slipped and drowned while playing in the sand on the banks of the Batang Hari River," said the Head of the Jambi National Search and Rescue Agency. For the chronology of the incident on Wednesday, February 15, at 14.50 WIB, the victim, on behalf of Nizam, the male, was playing and bathing in sand on the banks of the Batang Hari river with five of his friends.
Then while playing, the victim slipped and fell into the Batang Hari river, then the five of his friends tried to help but the victim was carried away and could no longer be seen.
"After receiving this information, we then dispatched the Jambi Basarnas Office Rescue Team to conduct a search by bringing equipment such as rescue trucks, rubber boosters, Aqua Eyes, Rescue Air Equipment, Evacuation Equipment, and Medical Equipment with an estimated Distance to Location 38 KM," said Kornelis.
Until now, the victim has not been found.
