The Last Moment Of Iwan Bule Visiting The Indonesian National Team Exercise As The Chairman Of PSSI Taking Haru
JAKARTA - Moments of emotion were presented during the U-20 Indonesian national team training at Field A Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 15. Mochammad Iriawan or Iwan Bule visited the Garuda Squad for the last time as PSSI General Chair.
The former West Java Police Chief was seen playing one by one. You can see clearly the sad look at this moment.
"This is the last time I have seen training as PSSI General Chair. I gave motivation to the team and told Shin Tae-yong to continue to train so that the national team is better and proud," said Iriawan, as quoted by Antara.
He also thanked everyone in his management who helped the national team achieve several achievements throughout 2019-2023. Even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indonesian national team continued to work and recorded several achievements.
The senior national team qualified for the 2023 Asian Cup and the U-20 national team for the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup. In addition, the U-16 national team won the 2022 AFF Cup and the women's national team qualified for the 2022 Asian Cup for the first time after 32 years. Then, the FIFA rankings of the Indonesian national team jumped from 179 to 151.
"I'm not the great one, but everyone. Practically we are only active for about 1.4 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I want to give a message that everyone believes in the process. Nothing suddenly. Hopefully the new PSSI management can bring the national team to the FIFA 100th rank," said Iriawan.
It is confirmed that Iwan Bule will no longer be the General Chair of PSSI because he did not run for the general chairman election for the 2023-2027 period. This made coach Shin Tae-yong sad.
"I am sad and very unfortunate that the KLB was accelerated due to the tragedy of the Kanjuruhan Stadium so that the General Chairperson of PSSI (Mochamad Iriawan-ed) is no longer in office. Thank you very much for the support given," said Shin.
According to the South Korean tactician, Mochamad Iriawan is a person who loves and loves football very much.
Shin also mentioned that Iriawan is a good person and fits him.
"In the beginning there were indeed several misunderstandings between me and him. However, I know that he really loves and likes football. The person is very innocent, so, yes, the longer we get together," said the South Korean national team coach at the 2018 World Cup.
Shin Tae-yong was also impressed with Mochamad Iriawan's maximum support to the Indonesian national team, including when dispatching the national team with charter planes to compete in the 2022 AFF Cup.
"We were given a charter plane. It was also one of those memorable moments for me," he said.
