The Construction Of 81 Huntap Victims Of Abrasi Amurang, South Sulawesi, Is Targeted To Be In The 2023 Village

NORTH SULAWESI - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) will soon complete the construction of 81 permanent residential housing units (huntap) victims of Amurang beach abrasion, South Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi (Sulut).

Development is being worked on by the Sulawesi Housing Provision Center I, Ministry of PUPR.

"The construction is currently underway, it is located in Rumoong Bawah Village, West Amurang District," said Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of South Minahasa Regency Thorie R Joseph in Manado, Wednesday, February 15, as reported by Antara.

Of the 81 housing units that have been paid for by the completion, there are several housing units whose construction has reached 90 percent.

The total permanent housing to be built this year is 81 units, of the 114 units that will be completed.

"The remaining 33 units will be built after 81 units have completed construction," he said.

In addition to building housing, the government will also provide other supporting facilities, such as clean water, electricity networks and places of worship.

He hopes that the construction of this permanent residence can be completed on time, so that residents who still occupy temporary housing can be moved to a new location.

In mid-June 2022, the coast of Amurang was hit by a landslide that caused residents' houses, public facilities and road infrastructure and bridges to collapse.

Residents occupied a number of refugee camps after their houses were destroyed, such as being sucked in by sea water, some time later residents occupied temporary shelters while waiting for the construction of permanent housing built by the Ministry of PUPR.
