Song Joong Ki's Space Sweepers Movie Exclusive Release On Netflix

JAKARTA - South Korea's first sci-fi film, Space Sweepers, will be released exclusively on Netflix on February 5.

Through its social media, Netflix released the first poster and new teaser today, Wednesday, January 6.

The film, which is estimated to cost US $ 21.5 million, will be released in 190 countries.

Space Sweepers is set in the year 2092, where the universe is already filled with dangerous garbage.

A group of people in outer space tasked with cleaning up the Victory spaceship. While doing work, they meet Dorothy, a humanoid robot that is a weapon of mass destruction.

They do business deals to do work in space. On the other hand, there is a competition to find Dorothy and the four people are determined to hand over Dorothy with some money.

Space Sweepers stars a number of well-known South Korean stars such as Song Joong Ki, Kim Tae Ri, Yoo Hae Jin, and Jin Seon Kyu.

Initially this film was scheduled to hit theaters on September 23, 2020, but had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Not choosing a new date, the production house decided to broadcast it via Netflix.
