According to him, the public considers the judge's decision against Ferdy Sambo to be fair."It's just that if I look at the reaction of the community, it is considered by the community to be fairer, not (by) the government, yes, the government must not take sides, abstain, yes, it will not give any assessment," explained Ma'ruf.He assessed that the public's positive response to the decision could mean that the judge's decision or verdict was in accordance with the aspirations of the community.Previously, the defendant in the premeditated murder case of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat (Brigadir J), Ferdy Sambo, was sentenced to death by the Panel of Judges at the South Jakarta District Court."The defendant was sentenced to death," said Chief Judge Wahyu Iman Santoso during a trial at the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel), Jakarta, Monday, February 15.The judge stated that Ferdy Sambo was legally and convincingly proven guilty of violating Article 340 subsidiary Article 338 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code.In addition, the judge also assessed that Ferdy Sambo was proven to have violated Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 of Law Number 19/2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11/2008 concerning ITE in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
