The Results Of The 2023 Mixed Team Asian Badminton Championships: The Indonesian Team Is Still Too Perkasa, Bahrain Dilumat 5-0

JAKARTA - The Indonesian team again appeared strong on the second day of the 2023 Mixed Team Asian Badminton Championship. The Red and White Squad won a perfect 5-0 victory against Bahrain.

Appearing at the Dubai Exhibition Center, United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, February 15 at noon WIB, five Indonesian representatives from various sectors appeared impressively. They all managed to bag a victory with a fairly landslide score.

The match opened with the performance of the mixed doubles Rinov Rivaldi/ Pitha Haningtyas against Mohamed Muanis/Reya Fathima. Appearing first on the second day, Rinov/Pitha paved the way smoothly to ensure victory.

The Indonesian representative even only needed to go through the match for 19 minutes to win two straight games with a landslide score of 21-7 and 21-6. Rinov/Pitha's victory made Indonesia's position 1-0 up against Bahrain.

The Indonesian team's smooth steps to ensure a big victory were also achieved from the women's and men's singles sectors. Putri Kusuma Wardani (KW) and Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo paid for their trust with winning points.

Putri KW beat Lizabeth Elsa quite far, namely 21-7 and 21-3. The victory was secured by Putri within 20 minutes.

Chico also achieved perfect results when facing the men's singles, the representative of Bahrain, Adnan Ebrahim. Both need only 20 minutes, Chico completes the match without a hitch to secure the numbers 21-5 and 21-5.

Victory with a fairly far score was also felt by the women's doubles, Lanny Mayasari/Ribka Sugianto. Lanny/Ribka only played for 19 minutes to win 21-5 and 21-8 to lead Indonesia's 4-0 advantage over Bahrain.

Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Rambitan appeared as the perfect closing for the Indonesian squad on the second day. The pair closed the match sweetly because they won 21-3 and 21-10 over Adnan Ebrahim/Mohamed Muanis.

This result also makes Indonesia the top position in Group C standings with three perfect wins.
