Flotsam And Jetsam Are Preparing A New Album, This Time It's More 'muscular'

JAKARTA - Veteran thrash metal Flotsam And Jetsam are working on the finishing touches on their new album. The follow-up to The End Of Chaos will be released in late spring or early summer.

"This album is supposed to come in January (2021). That's the plan. It's done - everything is finished except the artwork. Because we knew we couldn't release it in January, we pushed back the schedule to June," guitarist Michael Gilbert told The Metal Voice.

Gilbert added that the musical direction of Flotsam And Jetsam's new material is similar to the album The End Of Chaos. However, it is more powerful.

"Yes, this is the perfect follow-up to Chaos. We couldn't have planned it any better. It's like The End Of Chaos but more muscular, basically. I think you guys will like it, man," he explained.

Last November, Flotsam And Jetsam announced Bill Bodily (Contratian, Inhumatus, Toxik) as their new bass player. Prior to joining Flotsam And Jetsam on a permanent basis, Bodily replaced former bassist Michael Spencer during the Tour Of Chaos in 2019.

"Joining Flotsam And Jetsam is an honor as well as a big step in my musical journey. I have been friends with people in this band over the years, and I am a lifelong Flotsam fan. I look forward to many adventures ahead and get to know the crowd better. legendary Flotzilla fan! " explained Bodily.

Meanwhile, Flotsam thanked Spencer for the contribution he made to the band over the past 6 years. They also wish the former bassist all the best.

"First and foremost, we want to thank Michael Spencer for his time at Flotsam And Jetsam. He joined us in 2014, and we have achieved a lot together. We sincerely wish him all the best in the future !," they said. .
