JAKARTA - Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Johnny G Plate has finally been investigated by the Attorney General's Office regarding the alleged corruption of Bakti Kominfo. He apologized for not attending on February 9."I apologize beforehand to the Attorney General's Office," Johnny told reporters at the Attorney General's Office Round Building, South Jakarta, Tuesday, February 14.Johnny said his presence was caused by his job as a minister. On February 9, for example, he was not present because he accompanied President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to Medan to celebrate National Press Day (HPN).Furthermore, the Secretary General of the NasDem Party ensures that he continues to respect the legal process related to Bakti Kominfo's alleged corruption. "I have provided information on the questions raised by the Attorney General's Office," he said."I give my answer with responsibility. In particular, regarding duties, functions, authority as Kominfo," continued Johnny.Johnny ensures that he is ready to be summoned again if needed by the Attorney General's Office. As a good citizen and assistant to the president, he will assist the ongoing legal process.During this examination, the AGO also examined five witnesses, namely K as Director of PT Elabram System; DA as a private party; Director of PT Menara Cahaya Telekomunikasi with the initials TBSK; Director of PT Telnusa Intracom, DB; and WL as Director of Sales of PT ZTE Indonesia.The Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) at the Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana, explained that this examination was aimed at completing the corruption case files being investigated.For information, there were 50 witnesses and 23 witnesses who were prevented from leaving the country to speed up the investigation of alleged corruption in the BTS 4G infrastructure provider and supporters of packages 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 BAKTI Kominfo. This case is suspected of causing more than Rp1 trillion in state finances.As for the suspects, there are five that have been determined by the AGO. They are Anang Achmad Latif (AAL) as the President Director of BAKTI, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Gapol Menak (GMS) as the President Director of PT Mora Telematika Indonesia, Yohan Suryanto (YS) as an expert on Human Development (HUDEV) at the University of Indonesia in 2020, Mukti Ali as a suspect from PT Huwaei Technology Investment and Irwan Hermawan as Commissioner of PT Solitchmedia Synergy.
