So Maudy Ayunda's Husband, Jesse Choi Alami Culture Shock. FUNNY Things In Indonesia
JAKARTA - For almost a year Maudy Ayunda married Jesse Choi in 2022. Maudy admitted that her husband experienced several shocked culture or cultural concussion while in Indonesia.
To Vincent and Desta, Maudy Ayunda explained that Jesse felt unique when vehicle users in Indonesia used their horns on the road.
"Those who like to make us laugh together, oh here people communicate with horns. Sometimes 'tin' means 'halo', 'tin tin' means 'dadah', or also 'tin tin' meaning move (scared) like that," said Maudy Ayunda.
In addition, Maudy also explained that Jesse was surprised because one word had a lot of meaning when speaking. One of the words in question is a permissible word.
"He is also confused by the words 'yes'. According to him, the words'may' always be used in various contexts. Is it like 'want to eat or not?' 'All right' or'may I go there?'," said Maudy.
"It's like 'You're welcome' but also 'I want to' so he likes to be confused, how come this person uses the word 'permissible'," he continued.
Jesse is also confused by the use of the word 'again' which means'repetitive' or 'is doing'.
"So what else? He's confused. There's a lot," he said.
Luckily, the husband has no problems with food tastes. Maudy Ayunda even mentioned Jesse Choi's favorite food.
"If his food is actually quite safe, he really likes soup in the aftermath, satay, (mix) Padang," said Maudy Ayunda.
