Ministry Of Finance: Sales Results Of SBR012 Worth IDR 22.18 Trillion
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) noted that the sales of the SBR012 series of Savings Bond Retail (SBR) issued by two tranches, namely SBR012-T2 and SBR012-T4, reached IDR 22.18 trillion with 62,375 retail investors.
In a statement from the Ministry of Finance quoted by Antara, Tuesday, February 14, the Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management of the Ministry of Finance revealed that the achievement consisted of the SBR012-T2 series of Rp. 16.73 trillion and the SBR012-T4 series of Rp. 5.45 trillion. Sales proceeds will be used to meet the 2023 APBN financing target.
The public interest in buying SBR012-T2 and SBR012-T4 is very high, as evidenced by oversubscribe purchases of up to 2.2 times from the initial target of IDR 10 trillion.
Of the 62,375 investors in the second SBR series (investors investing in both SBR series, one investor will be calculated), namely 48,618 investors who invest in SBR012-T2, of which 20,400 (42 percent of the total number of investors) are new investors and 19,785 investors who invest in SBR012-T4, of which 7,395 (37.4 percent of the total number of investors) are new investors.
In this issuance, there were 4.625 investors who made orders with a nominal value of IDR 1 million, with details of 2.643 investors on SBR012-T2 and 1.982 investors on SBR012-T4. This figure is the highest during the issuance of online retail SBN.
In terms of the investor profession, students or students are ranked in the top three investors SBR012-T2 and SBR012-T4, which reflects the increasing awareness of the younger generation to invest. Meanwhile, housewives are ranked in the top four.
Nevertheless, the number of SBR012-T2 and SBR012 investors was dominated by private employees, namely 35.9 percent and 37.7 percent, although in nominal terms, entrepreneurs still dominated orders of 41.9 percent and 39.8 percent.
Based on generation, in SBR012-T2 and SBR012-T4 the millennial generation dominated with a portion of 48 percent and 59.8 percent, but in nominal terms it was still dominated by generation X by 37.5 percent and 39.8 percent.
Based on gender, the number of SBR012-T2 and SBR012-T4 investors was dominated by female investors by 58.9 percent and 52.9 percent, respectively.
In the issuance of SBR012-T2 and SBR012-T4 this time, bank distribution partners still dominate sales, both from nominal and number of investors. For non-bank groups, both nominal sales and number of investors, the achievement of distribution partners for financial technology companies (fin/fintech) is higher than securities companies.
