General Idham Azis Sends A Letter Of Request To Replace The National Police Chief To Jokowi

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Idham Azis has submitted a letter requesting the appointment of his successor to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi). This is following his retirement.

Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, confirmed this. Submission of the application letter was only known after the inauguration process of the Banten Police Chief and the Head of BNN of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Yes, that's right," said Argo in his statement, Wednesday, January 6.

The application letter was sent to Jokowi through State Secretariat Minister Pratikno. But it is not yet known who Idham Azis appointed to replace him as the number one person in the National Police.

"The letter was submitted to State Secretary Pratikno yesterday," he said.

For your information, General Idham Aziz served as the National Police Chief after being inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on November 1, 2019. He will retire in January 2021 after becoming the number one person in the National Police for approximately one year and two months.
