Consideration Of Strengthening Up To A 20 Year Sentence, Putri Candrawati Is Considered A Judge Toquit The Future Of Many Police
JAKARTA - The defendant Putri Candrawathi was found guilty in the premeditated murder case against Yosua alias Brigadier J so that she was sentenced to 20 years in prison. One of the considerations for the decision was that the actions of the ex-Kadiv Propam's wife destroyed the future of many members of the National Police."The defendant's actions have affected and caused great losses from various parties, both material and moral, and even decided the future of many police personnel," said Chief Judge Wahyu Iman Santosa during a trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Monday, February 13.It was noted that in the series of premeditated murder cases of Brigadier J, dozens of members were deemed involved in an obstruction. They were sanctioned internally through the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) trial.Of the dozens of members of the National Police whose future has been destroyed, some of them are Hendra Kurniawan, Agus Nurpatra, Arif Rachman Arifin, Chuck Putranto, Baiquni Wibowo, and Irfan Widyanto.Another weight consideration is that Putri Candrawathi is considered convoluted and not straightforward in the trial. This made it difficult for the trial."The defendant did not admit his guilt and actually positioned himself as a victim," said Judge Wahyu.Still in its decision, the panel of judges also did not find any mitigating considerations for Putri Candrawati. The panel of judges stated that the defendant Putri Candrawathi was found guilty in the premeditated murder case of Yosua alias Brigadier J. Ferdy Sambo's wife was sentenced to 20 years in prison.Just like Ferdy Sambo, the panel of judges in his decision believed Putri Candrawathi violated Article 340 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph 1 to (1) of the Criminal Code."He consciously assured that he participated in the murder and planned to impose a sentence on the defendant with a prison sentence of 20 years," said Chief Judge Wahyu.
