Populi Center Survey On The Importance Of Reshuffle: 42.2 Percent Respondents Agree, 40.2 Percent Conversely

JAKARTA - The results of the Populi Center survey stated that the attitude of the community was divided, whether or not the cabinet reshuffle was carried out by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

"In the remaining working period of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, the public's attitude is divided between those who answer that there needs to be a change of minister and those who don't," said the Policy Manager Resarch Populi Center Dimas Ramadhan in Jakarta, Monday, February 13.

As many as 42.2 percent, he said, respondents wanted a cabinet reshuffle, while those who answered otherwise the percentage was 40.2 percent.

According to Dimas, specifically those who answer need a change of minister, when asked who is the minister worthy to be replaced? The names of the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo and the Minister of Communication and Information Johnny G Plate occupy the second and third most positions chosen to be replaced.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Menko Polhukam) Nadiem Makarim, who came from professionals, topped the list of ministers who were eligible to be replaced with 16 percent of respondents' choice.

Populi Center conducted a national survey on January 25-February 3, 2023. Respondent samples were spread proportionally in 38 provinces in Indonesia, including in 4 new autonomous regions.

The purpose of the survey is to find out public perceptions, especially regarding the evaluation of government performance, evaluation of police performance, national issues that are currently being discussed, and the dynamics ahead of the 2024 General Election.

The survey was conducted using internal funding. Data taking methods in the survey were conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 respondents who were selected using a multistage random sampling method with a margin of plus minus 2.83 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent.
