Fit And Proper Test At The DPR, BI Deputy Governor Dwi Pranoto's Candidate For Three Missions
JAKARTA The candidate for Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Dwi Pranoto carries three important missions if elected as central bank strategic officials for the next five years. He explained this when he took the fit and proper test with Commission XI of the DPR today.
In his explanation, Dwi said that the first mission was an effort to strengthen domestic economic resilience, which was supported by policy innovation.
"The second mission is to accelerate economic revival towards advanced Indonesia," he said at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta.
Then, the third mission strengthens the sustainability of the economy in Indonesia.
"This is all summarized in Bank Indonesia's vision which plays a strategic role in maintaining macroeconomic stability, payment systems, and financial systems to accelerate sustainable growth," he said.
In detail, Dwi explained that macroeconomic resilience will be focused on controlling inflation. Then, economic revival was achieved through strong domestic growth. Meanwhile, sustainability missions will be achieved through new economic sources and optimizing the role of BI representative offices in the regions.
"The implementation of this strategy is a policy mix by prioritizing synergies across ministries/agencies, central and local governments, as well as synergies from existing policy makers (stakeholders)," he said.
