Strengthen Regional Regulations And The Governor Of DKI Jakarta, Heru Asks To Prioritize Humanist Sides
JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono asked all Civil Service Police Units (Satpol PP) to prioritize the humanist side when carrying out merchant control. "Responding to the news that was viral on social media, coffee traders around running when there was a Satpol PP patrol and then falling, officers immediately helped the merchant," said Heru in a written statement in Jakarta, Sunday, February 12. Heru said that there was this control because there were already regulations prohibiting street vendors (PKL) from selling on the sidewalk. Satpol PP was confirmed to prioritize humanist sides and effective communication when carrying out enforcement. Of course, this is in accordance with regional regulations (perda) and governor regulations (pergub) that prioritize security and public order. Head of DKI Jakarta PP Kasatpol Arifin expects the importance of public understanding of the performance of a polite Satpol PP without any element of violence in the field. Arifin emphasized that all officers when acting must comply with the standard operating procedures (SOP) that have been regulated. If there is a violation of procedures, there will certainly be sanctions. "If there is an act of violence and arrogance in carrying out tasks in the field, then we will take firm action," said Arifin, quoted by Antara. Provincial Government (Pemprov) DKI Jakarta continues to protect residents in order to be a reflection that Jakarta is a friendly and polite city in every enforcement of regulations.
In addition, by prioritizing the humanist side and education, residents will not feel that there is an element of coercion in following the applicable rules. It is hoped that the enforcement of this regional regulation/pergub will be able to realize the government's cooperation with residents. Previously, the officers of the DKI Jakarta Province Integrated Control Team arrested at least 71 Social Welfare Service Providers (PPKS) in simultaneous outreach operations in five city areas. Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Arifin in an official statement in Jakarta, Friday, February 10, said the PPKS outreach operation was carried out on Thursday 9 February by a joint team from the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP and assisted by the Social Service, TNI/Polri and elements of the city/district/kelurahan government.
