Viral Video Of Coffee Traders Around Being Kicked By Their Subordinates, Kasatpol PP DKI Opened Voice

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) Arifin opened his voice regarding viral videos on Twitter social media regarding mobile coffee traders or starling being kicked by his subordinates.

Arifin emphasized that no officers had committed violence against mobile coffee traders.

"Responding to the news that was going viral on social media, that the coffee seller panicked and ran away when a Satpol PP officer patrol then fell, the Satpol PP officers immediately helped the merchant," he said in an official statement quoted on Sunday, February 12.

Arifin explained, there are already rules that prohibit selling on the sidewalks.

Therefore, he said, in carrying out this control, his party always prioritizes the humanist side and effective communication with residents.

We always pay attention to humane, educational and communication aspects in every task, such as controlling which has the potential for violations of the rules. All officers when acting must comply with the SOP procedures that have been regulated, if there is a procedural violation, of course there will be sanctions that can be imposed," he said.

Meanwhile, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono also provided clarification.

He admitted that he always instructed all levels of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, including the Satpol PP tasked with enforcing regional regulations (perda) and governor regulations (pergub).

Including, continued Heru, maintaining security and public order, to always act without harm to anyone.

"I ask all ranks of the Satpol PP to continue to prioritize the humanist side when taking action in the context of enforcing regional regulations/pergub," he said.

Heru said, this is very important so that the public understands that with a peaceful atmosphere and still prioritizes elements of public protection and education, regulations can be enforced without excessive attention.

Because a polite way is a solution in starting discussions, without any elements of violence. I also ask the Head of Satpol PP to always remember all officers to put forward a humanist side and if there is an act of violence and arrogance in carrying out their duties in the field, there must be firm action," he said.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, said Heru, also has the principle of always protecting residents. This is so that it can be a reflection that Jakarta is a friendly and polite city in every law enforcement.

In addition, he continued, by prioritizing the humanist side as well as elements of protection and education, residents will not have an element of feeling forced in following the applicable rules.

"So that the enforcement of regional regulations/pergub for public order and comfort can be realized because of the cooperation between the government and its citizens," he explained.
