PBSI Send 16 Vice Representatives To The 2023 Mixed Team Asia Championships

JAKARTA - The Indonesian badminton parent (PBSI) sent 16 players to the 2023 Mixed Team Asian Badminton Championships. Each sector has two representatives.

The squad departed from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Saturday, February 11 in the morning WIB. They departed with excellent preparation.

"Indonesia is leaving for Dubai with high optimism. All players, coaches, and support teams are also in good health and fit," said Head of Development and Achievement Riony Mainaky.

The Asian Mixed Team Badminton Championship will take place at the Dubai Exhibition Center from February 14 to 19, 2023. Indonesia is in Group C with Thailand, Bahrain, Syria, and Lebanon.

This championship uses a format like the Sudirman Cup. Indonesia sent 16 athletes to this event with details of each sector strengthened by two representatives each.

In the men's singles there are Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo. Meanwhile, the men's doubles is the world's number one pair Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Asian champion Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan.

Then in the women's singles and doubles there are Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, Putri Kusuma Wardani, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, and Ribka Sugiarto/Lanny Tria Mayasari.

The last sector is the mixed doubles that sent the pair Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari and Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati.

"After about two weeks of intensive training, the condition of the players is also excellent. This good condition is our main provision for the championship," said Rionny.
