President Director Of Indonesia Re: BUMN And SP BUMN With A Significant Role In The Achievement Of Indonesia Gold 2045

JAKARTA - State-Owned Enterprises together with their workers who are united under the BUMN Workers Union are considered to have a significant role in helping achieve the vision target of Indonesia Gold 2045.

This was stated by the President Director of PT Resurance Indonesia Utama (Persero) or Indonesia Re, Benny Waworuntu, when he was a speaker at the Second Congress of the BUMN Workers Union, Wednesday, February 8.

Benny explained, SOEs with an asset value of Rp. 9,000 trillion and a very diverse business ecosystem certainly play an important role in realizing this vision.

He gave an example, in the insurance sector alone, SOEs have companies engaged in the insurance sector, general insurance, and reinsurance, as well as sharia-based business services.

"So, SOEs play a very important role as drivers and catalysts to participate in encouraging the achievement of targets in Indonesia Gold 2045," he explained.

Not only as a business organization, BUMN is also supported by hundreds of thousands of strong human resources or human resources under the BUMN Workers' Union (SP) which is the main asset or capital as a change agent in the archipelago. Workers, he explained, could contribute both as individuals and workers in business organizations.

That way, SOEs can be the main drivers, both as a whole and as well as each business organization in their fields.

SOEs and SP SOEs can play an important role as agents of change both individually and organization in carrying out roles based on our core values, AKHLAK [threat, competent, harmonious, loyal, adaptive, and collaborative].

To help realize the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045, Benny revealed that there are a number of challenges faced by SOEs and SP SOEs. The first is from the organizational side, while the second is from the HR side.

Regarding the organization, Benny explained that SOEs must be able to continue to study the organization in order to maximize the productivity of employees and business processes.

He detailed that currently the SOE ecosystem has narrowed down with 41 core companies. With this condition, SOEs need to continue to study whether the shape or ecosystem that has been formed is effective enough to be able to develop and complement each other.

"This means that the current organization can be more supportive to be able to maximize the productivity of employees and business processes? Likewise with the organizations in each BUMN itself; is it linear enough and can be more agile in responding to changes that must be made to achieve the targets in Indonesia Gold 2045," he said.

Meanwhile, in terms of human resources, continued Benny, the readiness of workers needs to be the concern of every SOE. SOEs, he explained, must be able to ensure that human resource development can run optimally.

In addition, Benny emphasized that every BUMN worker must have the initiative to carry out self-development both within the organization and independently.

This means that the worker should not only depend on the development of the organization or where he works, but he must also have the desire to develop himself to be able to contribute optimally to the SOE organization where he works which in the end will increase the productivity of the SOE.

Benny added, Indonesia Re as a BUMN in the field of reinsurance, continues to strive to implement this. The vision that has been mutually agreed upon between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, as a shareholder, and directors and commissioners continues to be communicated in detail to all human resources in Indonesia Re.

That way, explained Benny, every individual worker in Indonesia Re knows and understands each other's achievement targets.

"So it is clear what the target is, how can he contribute, which ultimately has an impact on the performance of the organization [the company]," he concluded.
