JCI On Thursday Afternoon Greened To Level 5,987.15

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed higher at the close of trading on Thursday, February 6. JCI rose 8.37 points or 0.14 percent to the level of 5,987.15.

The strengthening of JCI was driven by 232 stocks that rose. As for the closing of trading this afternoon, 149 stocks fell and 152 stocks were stagnant.

Binaartha Sekuritas analyst, M. Nafan Aji Gustama said, the decline in the consumer confidence index from 126.4 to 121.7 caused a slowdown in the JCI movement.

"Although in the end the JCI was successfully closed in the positive zone due to strengthening global sentiment such as the success of the US Senate in smoothing Trump's power so that the US House of Representatives did not impeach him," Nafan told VOI, Thursday, February 6.

This afternoon, stocks that were among the top gainers, including PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) which rose 24.48 percent to Rp356, PT PP Presisi Tbk (PPRE) which rose 22.16 percent to Rp226, and PT Indofarma Tbk (INAF) which strengthened 12.50 percent to Rp810.

As for those who entered the ranks of the top losers, including PT Repower Asia Indonesia Tbk (REAL) which weakened 20.87 percent to Rp163, PT Putra Rajawali Kencana Tbk (PURA) which fell 10.85 percent to Rp.189, and PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk ( FREN) which fell 4.46 percent to Rp107.
