FPI Choose New Name Of Islamic Brotherhood Front To Be More Humanist And Cool
JAKARTA - After being banned by the government, the Islamic Defenders Front or FPI decided to change the name. Most recently, after using the name Islamic United Front, they used the name Front Persaudaraan Islam.
"God willing, it will turn into the Islamic Brotherhood Front, red)," said former Deputy General Secretary of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), Aziz Yanuar. when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, January 5.
He said that the use of the name Islamic Brotherhood Front was not without reason. This name, he said, was chosen because it was considered more humane and cool and if you were siblings, the people would unite and want to defend one another.
"The reason is that if you are brothers, God willing, they will also unite and defend. In addition, other reasons (this name, red) are more humane and cool," he explained.
Regarding the naming, Azis said, the Islamic Brotherhood Front was sparked by various parties including Rizieq Shihab, who is now in detention due to a crowd case during the wedding ceremony of his son, Najwa Shihab as well as the celebration of the Prophet's birthday at the end of 2020.

Furthermore, after using the name Islamic Brotherhood Front, said Azis, this group will fight to prioritize three things from education to humanity.
"In the future, the Islamic Brotherhood Front in fighting for amar ma'ruf nahi munkar will promote three pillars, namely education or preaching, law and human rights, and education," he said.
Previously reported, after the FPI was banned by the government, 19 people declared the Islamic United Front organization. Among them were former FPI Chairman Ahmad Sabri Lubis and General Secretary Munarman.
