Rihanna Change Setlist Of Super Bowl Performances Up To 39 Times!

JAKARTA - Rihanna's appearance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show is highly anticipated by the public. This is his first stage in the music world after seven years without the latest releases.

"It feels like (the appearance at the Super Bowl) can only happen now," Rihanna said at an Apple Music press conference on Friday, February 9.

Rihanna recalled when she received an offer to appear after giving birth to her first child with A$AP Rocky. He was confused and even afraid to regret missing the offer.

When I first heard his offer, I said 'Are you sure? I just gave birth for three months. Should I make an important decision now? I may regret it," explained Rihanna.

When you become a mother, there is something that happens where you feel you can live everything in the world. Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world," he continued.

Long absence from the stage made Rihanna worried about her appearance. He also wanted to make the child proud of the Super Bowl appearance.

"How much fear I have, because I haven't appeared on stage for seven years, there is something encouraging about that challenge. It's important for me to do it this year. It's important for my son to see it," he said.

Two days before that performance, Rihanna admitted that there were many challenges. But the biggest one came from determining the setlist of the songs to be sung. Rihanna got 13 minutes to perform but she has eight albums with dozens of hits.

We have to delete some songs because of that and it will be fine. We are working well together. There are 39 setlist versions now. We are in 39th position. Each change is calculated," explained Rihanna.

Talking about the concept, Rihanna ensured that she would bring her culture and homeland on stage. Representatives about black women are also present on the magnificent stage.

"That's the reason why it's important for me to do this. Representing my country, Barbados. Representing black women everywhere is really important," he said.

It is not yet known whether Rihanna will release a new song or album. So far, her last release is Lift Me Up, the theme song from the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever where she received an Oscar nomination this year.

I'm open to music. I'm open to exploring and making new things, different things, strange things. It might not make sense for my fans... I want to have fun with music," said Rihanna.

Rihanna's appearance can be seen through the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 12, United States time.
