Religious Teachers Allegedly Obstitutes Elementary School Students In East Jakarta Endangered By Fire
JAKARTA - Teachers of Islamic religious subjects who are suspected of harassing elementary school students in East Jakarta are in danger of being fired. Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office, Nahdiana, said the dismissal would be carried out if the teacher was found guilty.
Nahdiana said that his party is currently waiting for the results of the police investigation into the alleged molestation case, before following up on the sanctions against the perpetrators.
"We will process all of these violations. Later, if proven, we will impose strict sanctions. If indeed (the dismissal) must be carried out and indeed it is in accordance with what has been proven in the investigation, we will withdraw it," Nahdiana told reporters, Friday, February 10.
Meanwhile, the Education Office has disabled teachers with honorary status or individual work contracts (KKI) from teaching activities at schools. Further sanctions will still await after the results of the police investigation are complete.
"The teacher is currently under investigation. To make it easier for the examination, the teacher was temporarily disabled," said Nahdiana.
"If the realm has entered the police, we will not intervene. Later we will comply with the laws and regulations, with personnel regulations," he continued.
Previously reported, a Islamic religious teacher with the initials A was taken to the East Jakarta Metro Police for allegedly harassing students at an elementary school in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta.
The perpetrator with the initials A was seen entering the SPKT room of the East Jakarta Metro Police. According to the information gathered, the perpetrator was found to have abused students at the elementary school.
The staff of representatives from the Education Sub-Department Region 1 of East Jakarta stated that three teacher representatives from an elementary school in Duren Sawit had been investigated for acts of harassment by a teacher.
"This morning our teacher was at the Polres. Three (people) grade 1, four (people) students and four parents of students will attend the Polres according to the summons of the East Jakarta Metro Police," said Farida Farhah, a representative staff from the East Jakarta Regional 1 Education Sub-Department to reporters, Thursday, February 9.
