685,043 Residents Of Bogor Regency Have Not Been Registered With JKN

BOGOR - The Social Security Administration Agency (BPJS) of the Cibinong Branch noted that there were still around 12 percent or 685,043 residents of Bogor Regency, West Java, who had not registered as participants in the National Health Insurance (JKN).

Head of the Participants's and Services Division (KPP) of BPJS Kesehatan Cibinong Branch, Betty Parapat in the JKN Recent Program (Ngopi) in Bogor, Thursday, stated that now JKN participants in Bogor Regency are recorded as 4.7 million people or 87.28 percent of the total population of 5.38 million people.

Of the 4.7 million participants, he said, as many as 2.2 million participants were PBI or Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI) and the remaining 2.4 million participants were non-PBI participants.

"PBI means that people whose contributions are paid by the government, either the APBD or the APBN, while non-PBI means wage workers or independent participants," he explained.

Betty explained that there was a trend of adding JKN participants from year to year. The reason is, last year the number of residents of Bogor Regency who had not yet become JKN participants was 852,060 people or 15.99 percent of the total population of 5.3 million people. Meanwhile, the number of JKN participants at that time was 4.47 million people or 84.01 percent of the total population.

According to him, the trend of increasing the number of JKN participants is an achievement in itself, considering that Bogor Regency has problems in the form of a large area and the largest population in Indonesia at the city/district level.

On that occasion, he explained that his party is now continuing to innovate to make it easier for participants to receive JKN services, one of which is the program of BPJS officers Ready to Help (One) in the hospital.

"If JKN-KIS participants who seek treatment at the hospital need information related to the JKN-KIS program service or even submit complaints about the services obtained during treatment, they can be submitted to BPJS One officers," said Betty.
