Entering The Political Year, What Are The Prospects Of The Food And Beverage Industry?

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Retail Entrepreneurs Association (Aprindo) Roy Nicholas Mandey predicts that the food and beverage (F&B) industry this year will be more stretched. It will even make a big contribution to economic growth in 2023.

"If last year was around 37-38 percent, I estimate it could be 40 percent. Because of what? There is a political year. His name is a party, we will see the 2019 election. They will serve their constituents by providing basic necessities, mamin," he told reporters, written Thursday, February 9.

Furthermore, Roy believes that the growth of the food and beverage industry will be even more brilliant until 2024. That year is the peak of the general election (Pemilu).

"Last year's household consumption was 51.6 percent, to 37.4 percent of it, and it could go up 40 percent this year," he said.
