Ganjar Pranowo Invites Teachers, Alumni And SMAN 1 Semarang Students, Planting Tree
After the felling of trees and fallen trees at SMAN 1 Semarang, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo directly checked the condition of the trees in the area, Wednesday, February 8. Ganjar asked all parties not to blame each other. He asked teachers, students, and alumni of SMAN 1 Semarang to plant trees to replace fallen trees.
Previously, several large trees in the SMAN 1 Semarang area were cut down for student safety reasons. The felling of the tree had caused polemics in the community, including alumni of SMAN 1 Semarang. A few days later, on Friday 3 February, the 12-meter-tall trambesi tree around the SMAN 1 Semarang area fell during study hours.
"I checked because there were alumni who protested to me yesterday, so I explained that it was already in the permit process, but yesterday it was crowded. Wow, this has to go to the realm of law, and so on. I said no, this is our school, it's a joke, it's also like this because the teacher, unless the teacher was reckless. After I checked, there was also the principal of SMAN 1 Semarang, Pak Kusno, the two big trees were struck by lightning, so under growong, so you don't have to blame each other," said Ganjar when checking the condition of the trees between morning sports.
Ganjar Pranowo asked the relevant agencies to routinely maintain and check trees in the SMAN 1 Semarang area. Because many trees in the area are decades old and high. The treatment in question, among others, cuts the upper branch regularly, to minimize danger.
"We also conveyed it to the relevant agencies and I asked for the matun (of the branches). So the top part is cut, if the bottom is still strong we will let it. So we will cut the top one," he said.
The weather factor is the basis for routine maintenance to be carried out. Not only trees in the SMAN 1 Semarang area, but also trees that grow in public isl and around other schools.
"This is also the weather for transitions, so not only in this school but in all schools and streets. I conveyed yesterday to my agencies to be careful, check everything, match, cut the top. Yes, it must be there, especially if you look at it that high. Like the base randa, the top can be cut so that later it doesn't blame each other but our environment is maintained," said Ganjar.
In addition to cutting the top, Ganjar also instructed the community of SMAN 1 Semarang and other schools, including the community, to continue planting. Reforestation and rejuvenation of trees are needed to provide shade as well as protect the environment.
"While there is still rain, I ask them to plant. I tell Pak Kusno if necessary, students and alumni are invited or residents who are interested in planting again, so there will be rejuvenation. So that in the future this area will remain shady. The trees are also good. This is a lot. So it remains green, good like that. While there is still a lot of time, planting more and more," he said.
The head of SMAN 1 Semarang, Kusno, said that the arrival of Ganjar to the school was specifically to inspect the trees in the school area. Including directly checking a fallen trambesi tree on February 3.
"He also visited the trees behind, the tremors were indeed huge and it was very dangerous. And he instructed that cuts should be immediately carried out so as not to cause further disasters or dangers. To secure the safety of students and local residents," he said.
Kusno said he would immediately follow up on Ganjar's instructions regarding tree reforestation and rejuvenation. His party will immediately coordinate with the relevant agencies to find out the condition of the trees at SMAN 1 Semarang. A re-investigation will be carried out, in order to find out the strength of the roots and stems of the trees that grow in the school environment.
"He (Ganjar Pranowo) also instructed me to immediately replant, so that a reforestation occurs. He also instructed to immediately coordinate with the Provincial DLHK including the Education and Culture Office to re-examine, while ensuring that the trees in SMAN 1 Semarang are safe for the health, safety and safety of students," he said.
