Credit And Third Party Funds BRI Grows Double Digit In 2022, This Is The Opinion!

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk managed to record positive growth in the collection of Third Party Funds (DPK). The company noted that until the end of the fourth quarter of 2022, BRI's DPK grew 14.85 percent year on year (yoy) to Rp1,307.88 trillion.

BRI President Director Sunarso said the growing low (CASA) funds were the main driver of BRI's DPK growth, which YoY increased by 21.46 percent.

"In general, the current proportion of BRI's CASA is recorded at 66.70 percent, a significant increase compared to CASA in the same period last year, which was 63.08 percent," said Sunarso in BRI's Performance Exposure, Wednesday, February 8.

He continued, BRI's ability to increase the proportion of CASA has a positive impact on the efficiency carried out by the company. This is reflected in the cost of funds or Cost of Fund bank only which continues to fall from 2.05 percent at the end of 2021 to 1.87 percent at the end of 2022.

In terms of lending, he continued, BRI Group's total credit and financing was recorded at Rp1,139.08 trillion at the end of December 2022.

"In particular, BRI's microcredit portfolio grew double digits by 13.9 percent yoy," he explained.

This makes the proportion of MSME loans compared to BRI's total credit continue to increase, to 84.74 percent.

Meanwhile, the growth of microcredit which reached double digits was driven by the success of BRI Group in integrating 34 million micro and ultra micro customers who are members of Ultra Micro Holding.

Of the total 34 million customers, there are 14 million BRI micro customers, 6.8 million ultra micro PT Pegadaian customers, and 13.2 million PT Permodalan Nasional Madani or PNM.

Furthermore, Sunarso explained, the integration of micro and Ultra Micro segmented customers was also driven by the existence of the SENSUM co-location service ( Ultra Micro Service Center), which since one year of the establishment of Ultra Micro Holding until the end of 2022 has reached 1,003 locations.

"Through SMILE, ultra-micro customers will continue to be empowered in a structured manner so that they can go up in class," concluded Sunarso.
