State The Blue Tiung Jambaran Project, Vice President Ma'ruf: Guarantee Gas Supply For Industry In East Java And Central Java

JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Maruf Amin inaugurated two National Strategic Projects (PSN) of Tiung Biru (JTB) and MDA and MBH Gas Fields in East Java.

With the inauguration of these two projects, the Vice President hopes to increase gas supply and ensure the availability of oil and gas for industries in East Java and Central Java.

"Hopefully these two projects will be able to significantly increase gas supply, and ensure the availability of oil and gas for industries in East Java and Central Java, so as to contribute added value and increase state revenue," said Maruf in an official statement, Wednesday, February 8.

The Vice President said that natural gas plays an important role in meeting national energy needs.

This is because natural gas is the cleanest and most widely used fossil energy after petroleum and coal.

"This shows the vital role of natural gas, both in meeting national energy needs and in the energy mix policy in Indonesia," said Ma ruf.

Therefore, Maruf emphasized, the government will continue to encourage the use of domestic natural gas by stimulating domestic industries, such as the development of the Blue Tiung Gas Jambaran Unitization Field, and the MDA Gas Field and MBH.

"The multiplier effects of these two gas fields will be driven by gas supply to PT. PLN and various industries around Central Java Province and East Java Province," he added.

Ma'ruf hopes that the gas reserves that have been found can be accelerated in the development process, so that gas can remain Indonesia's leading commodity.

"Immediately complete the national gas policy design which includes big designs related to gas and industrial needs concretely," concluded Maruf.
