No More Tolerance With KKB, DPR: Take Decisive Steps!
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, urged the TNI and Polri to take firm action against terror carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua.
He asked the TNI-Polri unit to no longer provide room for dialogue against the KKB, whose last act was to take civilians hostage and burn pioneering planes.
"I think tolerance is sufficient. We have to take firm steps," said the Gerindra Party politician at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 8, quoted from Antara.
Dasco strongly condemns the KKB terror in Papua which is considered an inhumane way.
He ensured that his agency continued to support the TNI-Polri's steps to enforce the law against these terrorist groups. He asked the TNI-Polri to protect Papuans.
"The DPR RI fully supports the efforts of the government and law enforcement officials to enforce the law in Papua," he asserted.
Earlier, the armed criminal group (KKB) led by Egianus Kogoya on Tuesday (7/2), set fire to Susi Air's flagship Porter, driven by Philip Merthens from New Zealand, carrying five passengers, including a baby.
The arson was carried out by a number of KKB members at the Paro District Airport, Nduga Regency, Papua, Tuesday (7/2) morning.
Susi Air's plane flew from Timika at 05.33 WIT and is scheduled to arrive at Moses Kilangin Timika Airport at 07.40 WIT.
