Ministry Of PUPR: Cisumdawu Toll Road Can Operate In Lebaran 2023

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General of Highways targets the Cileunyi - Sumedang - Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road and the South Jakarta Cikampek (Japek) II Toll Road segment Kutanegara - Sadang to operate in Lebaran 2023.

"We hope that Cisumdawu will fully operate this year's Eid," said Bina Marga Director General Hedy Rahadian at a press conference in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, February 8.

Hedy also said that apart from the Cisumdawu Toll Road, Bina Marga is also targeting the South Jakarta Cikampek II Toll Road for the Kutanegara - Sadang segment, which has been functional for Eid al-Fitr 2023.

"In addition, it is also hoped that the South Japek II Toll Road for the Kutanegara - Sadang segment can be opened operationally," he said.

Previously, the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono sought the Cileunyi - Sumedang - Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road to be fully operational by the end of February.

The PUPR Ministry encourages the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) to accelerate the completion of the construction of the Cileunyi Toll Road, Sumedang (Cisumdawu) in West Java.

The completion of the construction of the 62 km Cisumdawu Toll Road is very important for the operational effectiveness of Kertajati Airport, Patimban Port, as well as the economic development of the West Java Pantura area, starting from Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka to Kuningan (Ciayu Majakuning) West Java.

Basuki and Basuki Hadimuljono also instructed the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) to accelerate the gradual completion of South Japek's construction, especially in Section 3 of Mekar-Sadang Park along 27.85 km.

The toll road is expected to be completely completed by 2024. Meanwhile, for Lebaran 2023, completion is sought up to the Sukabungah Toll Gate, while in 2024 it will be completed until the Jati Asih Toll Gate.
