Losing A Bench In F1, Thai Racer Alexander Albon Raced In DTM
JAKARTA - Thai racer Alexander Albon will play in a number of German Touring Car (DTM) championship series with the support of Red Bull this season after losing his seat in Formula 1.
DTM in an official statement on Monday said the 24-year-old racer will race with an undetermined team at any time when he is not serving a Formula 1 role as a test, reserve and simulator racer in the Red Bull team.

Albon ended his second year in F1 in seventh place in the standings but was kicked out of Red Bull in December because the team with the two red bulls logo recruited Mexican racer Sergio Perez from the Racing Point team as Max Verstappen's partner this year.
Red Bull will also support the young 18-year-old racer from New Zealand Liam Lawson to DTM.
"DTM with high-end racers and sports cars GT3 is an exciting platform and a real challenge," said Red Bull team consultant Helmut Marko.
