Update On Pilot's Decree And 5 Passengers Of Susi Air Disandera KKB In Nduga, Chief Of Police: Still In Search
JAKARTA - The pilots and five passengers on the Susi Air plane disappeared as of Tuesday 7 February afternoon. They were unknown after the plane carrying the plane caught fire at the Paro airport, Nduga, Central Papua.
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo conveyed that the team deployed in the search for those suspected of being held hostage by the Papuan armed criminal group (KKB) came from Damai Cartenz Operation personnel.
"Regarding the development of the pilot and passenger who were secured by the KKB, we are currently still in search of a joint team from the Cartenz Peace Operation," said the National Police Chief in a joint press statement at the Jakarta Presidential Palace, Tuesday, February 7, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel.
The National Police Chief guarantees that the progress of the search for pilot Captain Philips M and five passengers on the Susi Air plane will be delivered as soon as possible.
However, the four-star National Police requested that the latest information wait first for the performance of the Cartenz Peace Operation team consisting of the TNI-Polri, who used to deal with armed separatist rebels in Papua.
"We will inform the results," he said.
The five passengers on the missing Susi Air plane are Demanus Gwijangge, Minda Gwijangge, Pelinus Gwijangge, Meita Gwijangge, and Wetina W.
Previously, the KKB allegedly set fire to the Susi Air plane of the Nona Porter type at the Paro airport, Nduga, Central Papua on Tuesday, February 7 morning.
The Porter'stype aircraft flew from Timika at 05.33 WIT on Tuesday 7 February. It is scheduled that the plane will arrive at Moses Kilangin Timika Airport at 07.40 WIT.
However, at 6.17 WIT, the plane carrying pilot Captain Philips M from New Zealand and the five passengers lost contact at 6.17 WIT.
