Condition 4 Police Injured And 1 Other Featured Archery Due To Inter-Citizens' Inter-Citizens' Inter-Citizens' Inter-Citizens' Inter-Districts In Tual Maluku Improved
MALUKU - The condition of five Tual Police personnel who intervened between residents in Tual City, Maluku, is gradually improving. Including the Head of Operations Section of the Tual Police, Kompol Arsad Rengur, who was injured by arrows.
"Indeed, yesterday there was one of our officers, the Head of Operations for the Tual Police, who suffered an arrow wound and was visited by the Regional Police Chief. The person concerned has now recovered, has been discharged from the hospital and is undergoing outpatient treatment," said Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Police, Kombes Pol. M. He hopes that Kompol Arsad Rengur and four other Tual Police personnel will recover soon and be able to return to work serving the community.
"Hopefully it will recover soon so that it can serve, protect, and protect the community again," he said.
Roem added that currently the situation in Tual City has returned to normal. Community activities have been running as usual.
Ensuring that security stability is maintained, hundreds of police and TNI personnel are on standby in Tual. They are also from personnel outside Tual who are seconded to help maintain security and public order.
"Since the last clash on February 2, there have been forces of troops entering there, both Brimob from Kei Besar which we shifted to Tual, there are from Ambon, Army, and Brimob and Sabhara from the Maluku Regional Police. we have also shifted it there," he said.
The clash between residents in Tual City began when a food stall owner was abused by a group of drunk people who did not want to pay on January 28, 2023.
As a result of the abuse, the victim's family did not accept and retaliated, resulting in a problem.
On January 31, 2023 at around 22.00 WIT, one of the residents was suddenly hit by an arrow released by an unknown person. As a result of the incident, it is suspected that the provocation of other groups of residents triggered a retaliatory attack.
Furthermore, on February 2, 2023 at around 06.45 WIT, another attack occurred between residents which resulted in more injuries, from 13 to 38 people from the original, including five police personnel who at that time tried to quell the clashes.
