Update On COVID-19 As Of January 4: New Cases Of 6,753, Healing, Increasing 7,166
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 45,868 specimens were examined with the results of 6,753 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 772,103 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Monday, January 4.
Today's cases increased by 7,166 so that a total of 639,103 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 177 people and a total of 22,911 people.
The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 1,832 new cases and a total of 191,075 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Followed by West Java which has 1,079 new cases with a total of 88,561 cases. Central Java has 1,037 new cases and a total of 85,549 cases. Then, East Java has 709 new cases and a total of 87,070 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 2,507 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 1,044 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 1,034 recovered cases, and Central Java with an increase of 612 recovered cases.
Then, there is 1 province that reported no new cases today. The province is West Kalimantan.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 7,516,860. In detail, 7,389,346 specimens were examined using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 127,514 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
Finally, for the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 72,380 people. Currently, 510 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
