Arema FC Debut At PTIK Stadium Colored By Defeat To PSM Makassar
JAKARTA - Arema FC started its struggle at the PTIK Jakarta Stadium with a negative result. Singo Edan had to lose to his guest, PSM Makassar.
Arema FC gave up with a narrow score of 0-1 in the 2022/2023 Liga 1 match, Saturday, February 4, afternoon WIB.
The only goal in that match was recorded by Japanese striker Kenzo Nambu in the 65th minute.
This match itself went on hard. There were two red cards issued by the referee.
First for Arema's player, Jayus Hariono, who committed a serious violation against Akbar Tanjung in the 34th minute.
Then in the 48th minute, PSM also had to lose one player due to a red card because Safrudin Tahar was considered to have lifted his leg too high when he tackled Ilham Udin Armayn.
With this result, PSM temporarily rose to second place in Liga 1 standings with a collection of 44 points. The number of points is the same as that of the leaders of Persija Jakarta.
However, PSM lost head to head with the Kemayoran Tigers.
Meanwhile, the fifth consecutive defeat for Singo Edan made Arema occupy the tenth position with a collection of 26 points, according to the official Indonesian League website, reported by Antara.
