Health Service Records 610 Children In West Aceh Experiencing Kerdilan
ACEH - The West Aceh District Health Office noted that until early 2023 there were 610 children spread across 12 sub-districts in the area experiencing stunting."Until now, the local government continues to strive to reduce the number of stunting in the community, with various interventions," said Head of the West Aceh District Health Office, Syarifah Junaidah in Meulaboh, Antara, Friday, January 3.There is also a form of intervention carried out, he said, such as providing additional food intake for infants, toddlers and children in areas where stunting cases occur, including health counseling activities by health workers in each Puskesmas.In addition, he said, the West Aceh District Health Office also made other efforts in the form of giving blood-added pills, for students or adolescents as an effort to prevent cases of malnutrition and nourish the younger generation.Then his party also provided socialization in the form of counseling on environmental health, clean sanitation, and counseling on a clean and healthy lifestyle as well as nutrition counseling for pregnant women and the community.Syarifah Junaidah also said that out of a total of 12 sub-districts in West Aceh, the number of children with stunting status in Johan Pahlawan District was 179 people, then in Bubon District there were 163 people, Woyla District as many as 51 people.Then in Meureubo District as many as 49 people, Samatiga District as many as 44 people, Woyla Barat District as many as 27 people, Sungai Mas District 21 people, Woyla Timur District as many as 20 people.In the working area of the Suak Ribee Health Center, Johan Pahlawan District as many as 20 people, Panton Reue 14 people, Arongan Lambalek District as many as 14 people, Pante Ceureumen District eight people."For the work area health center in Kaway XVI District so far, no stunting cases have been found," said Syarifah Junaidah added.Syarifah Junaidah also said that the local government is optimistic that stunting cases that occur in West Aceh Regency will be able to be lowered, there is frequent intervention from local governments, along with a number of Regional Government Organizations (OPD) in West Aceh."“ If the reduction in stunting cases is indeed 30 percent of the health office's obligations, and 70 percent is the obligation of a number of agencies such as PUPR, DLHK, and other related agencies in West Aceh," said Syarifah Junaidah.
