The Average Daily Transaction Value Increases By 10.61 Percent, JCI For A Week Is Closed Positively

JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) closed positively this week. JCI closed at 6,911.73.

Citing IDX data, Saturday, February 4, the JCI moved up 0.18 percent to 6,911,732. This amount is compared to last week's closing at the level of 6,898.98.

The increase occurred in the average daily transaction value of the Exchange this week, which was 10.61 percent to IDR 10.736 trillion from IDR 9.706 trillion in the previous week.

The average daily transaction frequency of the Exchange has also increased. The increase was 2.79 percent to 1,159,261 from 1,127,816 transactions a week earlier.

Then the stock market capitalization also increased 0.07 percent to Rp9,510.52 trillion from Rp9,504.34 trillion the previous week.

Meanwhile, the daily volume of Exchange transactions changed by 7.41 percent to 18.62 billion shares from 20.11 billion shares at the close of last week.

Foreign investors today recorded a net purchase value of IDR 1.25 trillion and throughout 2023 foreign investors recorded a net sale value of IDR 2.03 trillion.

This week, the IDX for the arrival of a new issuer, namely PT Wijaya Cahaya Timber Tbk (FWCT), recorded its shares in the Development Papal and became the 11th listed company on the IDX in 2023. FWCT is engaged in the sector and sub-sector of Basic Materials. The FWCT industry is Forestry & Paper with Timber sub-industry.

Previously, the JCI in January 2023 was corrected. Where, the JCI fell 0.16 percent year to date (ytd) in the first month of 2023.
