8 People Search And 1 Died In The Minibus Allocated Incident To The Sawah Land Of The Bukittinggi Cross Road-Payakumbuh
One unit of minibus carrying nine passengers experienced an overturned accident on the Bukittinggi-Payakumbuh highway, West Sumatra, today. Of the nine passengers including the driver, one person died," said Head of the Bukittinggi Police Traffic Unit, AKP Ghanda Novidiningrat in Bukitinggi, Antara, Friday, February 3.He said the victim who died was named Susilawati, while eight other passengers were rushed to the nearest health center and hospital.According to him, the 'Tin-Tin Transport' minibus with police number BA 7315 RM driven by Doni Saputra (44) drove from the direction of Payakumbuh City to Bukittinggi City, and was about to precede a motorcycle, but lost control and rolled over and fell into the rice fields.As a result of the incident, he said, the driver suffered a broken right leg and abrasions to his left leg. The driver and several other passengers were rushed to the Achmad Mochtar Hospital, Bukittinggi.In addition, the passengers who survived, namely Darma Wulan, Dini Dwiyanti, Chairul Hendri were treated at Yarsi Bukittinggi Hospital, while the passengers of Dini Antika were rushed to Adnan Payakumbuh Hospital and three other people, Martina Maran, Ennarti and Lili Diana were treated at the Bukittinggi Brain Hospital.In the single accident, it caused a long traffic jam of about two kilometers on the regional road, which is commonly called Labuah Luruih by local residents.One of the witnesses at the scene, Andre (37) said the Tin-Tin Transport Minibus also hit an electric pole at the scene, before rolling onto the rice fields."We saw many victims in the passenger minibus, so local residents tried to help with the evacuation process before the police arrived at the scene," he said.
