Thailand Masters 2023: Bagas/Fikri Rebut Tiket Semifinals From Kompatriot, Dejan/Gloria Carrylifting

JAKARTA - One ticket to the semifinals of Thailand Master 2023 has been secured by Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri. The Indonesian men's doubles beat its compatriots, Muhammad Rayhan/Rahmat Hidayat.

The two pairs had to play three games in the Thailand Master 2023 quarter-final match at Nimibutr National Stadium, Bangkok on Friday, February 3 afternoon WIB.

Bagas/Fikri need 44 minutes to win over their compatriots. The match was led into three games which finally Bagas/Fikri won with a score of 21-16, 16-21 and 21-15.

This victory brought Bagas/Fikri to be the first Indonesian representatives to qualify for the semifinals.

In the next round, there is also the potential to present representatives of Indonesia. Bagas/Fikri could meet against Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Rambitan if they were able to beat Su Cheng Heng/Ye Hong Windan.

The bitter result must be accepted by mixed doubles, Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja. They were forced to remove their suitcases from the quarter-finals because they lost to Chinese representatives Feng Yanzhe/Huang Dongping.

The sixth-ranked mixed doubles won over Dejan/Gloria in two straight games. The 38-minute match closed with a score of 21-18 and 21-11 for China's victory.
