The COVID-19 Vaccine Distributed By Biofarma Has Arrived In Lampung

JAKARTA - The COVID-19 vaccine distributed by PT Biofarma to 34 provinces in Indonesia has arrived in Lampung and is stored in the local Health Office's Pharmacy and Medical Device Calibration (Alkes) Warehouse at Jalam Dr Susilo, Bandarlampung.

"So we have received the COVID-19 vaccine from PT Biofarma Bandung," said Head of the UPTD Pharmacy and Medical Device Calibration Installation, Lampung Health Service, Aries Afiantono, in Bandarlampung, Monday.

However, he continued, for the time being, how many vaccines the Lampung Province received was not yet certain because it was still in the scanning process.

"We do not know for sure how many vaccines were received because it is still in the scanning process. So this shipment uses technology so that the scanned data from the COVID-19 vaccine can be read when it is at the right point," he said.

Regarding where and to whom it will be distributed, he said that his party was only tasked with receiving the vaccine until it entered the storage provided by the Lampung Provincial Government.

"We are only in charge of receiving this vaccine, so we cannot provide further information about when it will be distributed and vaccinated. Maybe later there will be further information that will be delivered by the Head of the Lampung Health Service," he said.

However, he continued, based on the information he got, the number of vaccines that Lampung Province would receive in this first shipment was 40,520.

"The number of vaccines available is recorded, Lampung will receive 40,520 but I cannot say whether the items that have entered the storage room match the data or not because it was being scanned so it is not known how many vaccines are there," he said.

Based on on-site monitoring, the COVID-19 vaccine arrived at the UPTD Pharmacy Installation and Medical Device Calibration of the Lampung Health Service at around 01.20 WIB, Monday morning using a car that was closely guarded by the police.

Previously, the Head of the Lampung Provincial Health Office, Reihan, explained that his party would get the COVID-19 vaccine in this first period of more than 40 thousand doses intended for health workers.
