Mayora To Wilmar Became A Sponsor Of The Powerboat F1 Event

JAKARTA - PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia or InJourney signed a cooperation agreement with seven companies that are ready to sponsor motorcycle boat racing championships or the F1 Powerboat event.

The seven sponsors who signed the signing were PT Mayora Indah, PT Parna Raya, Wilmar, Astra Agro, Sinarmas, Musim Mas, and the Indonesian Semen Association. Mayora Indah is the main sponsor, so this event is named Kopiko F1 Powerboat Lake Toba.

As is known, the F1 Powerboat will be held at Lake Toba, Blate, North Sumatra, from February 24 to 26, 2023.

Injourney President Director Dony▁lemahvia said cooperation with sponsors was not an effort to boost company revenue. But to increase local tourism.

Dony also hopes that the F1 Powerboat will be able to provide a multiplier effect, especially in boosting the economy of the people around Lake Toba.

"Later we will all be open. In principle, this event is not to seek profit for the company, but the maximum possible benefits for the people and the tourism of Lake Toba," said Dony in Jakarta, Thursday, February 2.

Dony added that his party will also calculate economic benefits for the surrounding community.

This includes surrounding MSMEs, to the event organizer team recruited to make the international event a success.

"We calculate the economic benefits for the local community. All MSMEs are managed by the community, we also involve the EOs, either opening ceremonies or closing ceremony," he explained.

Dony said that preparations for the location for the F1 Powerboat had reached 80-90 percent.

Some of the main infrastructure for implementation has also been completed.

"We have finished in the wet paddock and dry paddock, this week we will build the podium. Then, there are 12 containers that have arrived in Belawan (the port), we just need to take them to Lake Toba," he said.

"The readiness of the people around us has carried out socialization and mapping everything, and we hope that this event will run successfully and this is the first event involving 80 percent of which is the community," he continued.

Add Aviation to Silangit Airport

Meanwhile, Director of Marketing InJourney, Maya Watono confirmed that there would be additional flights to Silangit Airport, North Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra.

Maya said the addition of the flight was an effort to facilitate access for people who wanted to watch the international event.

"We will add flights from February 22-28, from the usual 2-3-per-day ceiling of the plane, we will accommodate it, we will add Garuda and Citilink," explained Maya.

As for tickets, Maya said, the ticket price for the F1 Powerboat will be announced soon on February 6. In fact, the system will be opened by flight, or other tourism around Lake Toba.
