Bored Ape Yacht Club Becomes The Most Traded NFT Collection

JAKARTA - January 2023 became a productive month for the NFT industry, reaching 997.53 million US dollars in sales. According to data from cryptoslam.io, Ethereum leads the list with an NFT sales value of 784.87 million dollars or 78,681 percent of the total. Solana is second with 150.4 million US dollars in NFT sales.

The NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) leads the list of best-selling NFT collections in January 2023, earning US$71.24 million in sales. This is a 45 percent increase from December. The sale of Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) also increased 47.91 percent to 58.85 million US dollars.

Meanwhile, Cardano, Immutable X, and Polygon occupy the top five blockchain networks after Ethereum and Solana in terms of NFT sales. Of the top ten NFT collections, the top ten blockchains can also be found on cryptoslam.io websites.

The top five NFT collections in sales were Azuki, Otherdeed, Art Blocks, Sorare, Degods, Captainz, and Hausphas. In one month, the top five NFT collections made $222.56 million, accounting for 24.31 percent of total sales in January 2023 which reached nearly $1 billion.

The most expensive NFTs sold in the past month were BAYC #5,840 which sold for $796,444, BAYC #4.025 sold for $613.501, and BAYC #8.483 sold for $581,845. The most expensive NFT sold was Cryptopunk #9.092 for $496,903 and BAYC #8,483 for $490,333.

Opensea became the largest NFT market in terms of sales volume for 30 days with 40 percent of last month's sales executed at the market. The NFT Balur market captures 32 percent of 30-day sales and X2Y2 records 8 percent of the month's sales.

Magic Eden is about 7 percent of the NFT transactions completed in that month, and Looksrare accounts for 2 percent of NFT sales in the last 30 days, according to statistics from dappradar.com, as reported by Bitcoin.com News.
