JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar said the DKI Jakarta Ijtima Ulama forum was held to respond to the current situation of the nation and state."Ulatan selama-DKI Jakarta berkumpul untuk membaca perkembangan dan situasi di bidang sosial, ekonomi, budaya hingga politik," kata Muhaimin Iskandar di Jakarta, Antara, Kamis, 2 Februari.Muhaimin then mentioned that one of the discussions at the forum was related to disciplining halal labels for products and food consumed in Indonesia."Many violate halal standardization, so they need to be disciplined. Maybe later it will become part of the recommendations of the ulama," he said.Another discussion, said Muhaimin, was related to the consolidation of ideas in the context of the 100th anniversary or a century of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). "The kiai and ulama commemorate by reviewing, evaluating, and seeing the future process of the struggle of the ulama and NU," he asserted.The kiai and ulama in Jakarta will be determined to be part of efforts to create a more humane and more prosperous Jakarta.The deputy chairman of the DPR revealed that after the Ijtima Ulama Nusantara in Jakarta some time ago it had been followed up in the same forum in a number of areas such as West Nusa Tenggara and South Sulawesi."This is a means of discussion to discuss social and religious problems," he said.
