Needs Of Urge, Bangka Regency Government Hibah Lahan Bangun SMA Negeri 2 Sungailiat
SUNGALIAT - Bangka Regency Government (Pemkab), Bangka Belitung Islands Province (Babel), offers grant land to the provincial government (Pemprov) for the construction of the Sungailiat 2 State High School educational institution.
"We offer how many places to be selected to build a SMA Negeri 2 school in Rebo Village, Pasir Sungailiat Village and in a scout area," said Bangka Regent Mulkan as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 2.
He said the offer of land provided was a form of support from the Bangka Regency Government for the plan to build a formal education institution for SMA Negeri 2 Sungailiat which was built by the provincial government.
"In accordance with the authority to build SMA Negeri 2 Sungailiat is carried out by the provincial government with a budget that has been provided of more than Rp. 9 billion," said Mulkan.
According to the regent, government-owned educational institutions, either junior high or high school, are quite attractive to the public because every year new students' parents are busy looking for public schools that are considered appropriate for their children's education.
"It's just that the grant land that we offer is not in demand by the provincial government because it wants land that is on the side of the national road that connects Sungailiat City to Belinyu City," explained Mulkan.
Mulkan hopes that the construction of SMA Negeri 2 Sungailiat can be realized soon in order to accommodate the educational needs of the community in Bangka Regency.
Based on data from the Technical Service Unit of the Bangka Belitung Province Education Office, the number of public high schools in Bangka Regency is 11 schools, State Vocational Schools are five schools, State SLB is one school, SMK and private high schools are 15 schools.
