Police Deploy Troops To Secure Rizieq Shihab's Pretrial Trial Tomorrow
JAKARTA - The police will deploy personnel for security at the South Jakarta District Court. This safeguard is related to the pretrial trial for the determination of the suspect Rizieq Shihab.
"Security has been prepared from the ranks of the South Jakarta Metro Police backed up by Polda Metro Jaya," South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Budi Sartono told reporters, Sunday January 3.
But Budi did not specify the number of personnel on alert at the South Jakarta District Court. Security is carried out by the police to ensure that the pretrial proceedings run smoothly.
"The point is we are active in securing the pre-trial trial so that it runs safely and in an orderly manner and there will be no interference for South Jakarta District Court officials in carrying out the pretrial hearing," he said.

Previously, Rizieq Shihab submitted a pretrial application to challenge the determination of the suspect in the case of crowds and violations of health protocols (prokes) in Petamburan, Jakarta.
Rizieq Shihab's pretrial lawsuit has been registered with number 150 / Pid.Pra / 2020 / PN South Jakarta, dated December 15.
