Gempa M 4,3 Di Garut, BMKG Duga Penyecukannya Sesar Garsela

JABAR - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) informed that the earthquake measuring M 4.3 in Garut was suspected to have triggered the Garsela fault.

The earthquake, which was originally measuring M 4.4 in the Garut-Bandung area, was revealed to be M 4.3.

"The earthquake rocked Bandung [Garut] Mag 4.4 depth 10 km. It is suspected that the fault Garsela was triggered," wrote the Head of the BMKG Earthquake and Tsunami Center, Daryono, on his Twitter account, @DaryonoBMKG, Wednesday, February 1.

Based on the BMKG report on its official website, this earthquake occurred on Wednesday, February 1 at 22:57 WIB.

The earthquake, which was again estimated to be a depth of three kilometers, was felt in a number of areas that were neighbors to Garut.

The earthquake was felt on the MMI III scale Garut, II Bandung, II Lembang, II Pangalengan, II Pacet, II Cileunyi, II Sumedang.

The results of the BMKG analysis show that the epicenter of the earthquake was on land 19 kilometers southwest of Garut Regency or 7.27 South Latitude 107.73 East Longitude.
