Ensuring Passenger Health, KAI Has Served 111 Thousand Rapid Tests
JAKARTA - In the reverse flow of Christmas and New Year holidays, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has served more than 111 thousand rapid antigen tests at stations. This service can be used by passengers before departure, which are spread across 29 stations.
"We have served more than 111 thousand participants for rapid antigen tests at stations to make it easier for customers to complete the requirements for using trains during the Covid-19 pandemic," said KAI Vice President Public Relations Joni Martinus in his official statement, Sunday, January 3.
The rapid antigen test service is used by passengers by paying IDR 105 thousand before departure. The service is available at 29 train stations namely, Gambir Station, Pasar Senen, Bandung, Kiaracondong, Cirebon, Cirebon Prujakan, Jatibarang, Semarang Poncol, Semarang Tawang, Tegal, Purwokerto, Kutoarjo, Kroya, Kebumen, Yogyakarta, Lempuyangan, Solo Balapan , Madiun, Jombang, Kediri, Kertosono, Blitar, Mojokerto, Surabaya Gubeng, Surabaya Pasar Turi, Malang, Sidoarjo, Jember, and Ketapang.
The rapid antigen test itself is one of the requirements for passengers to use rail transportation. In addition to health protocols which are the obligations of prospective passengers before traveling.
"We urge the public to prepare for the return flow of this New Year's holiday properly, starting from booking tickets, rapid antigen tests, to other equipment so that your trip will be enjoyable," said Joni.
The peak of the backflow has started to appear from Saturday 2 January to 3 January. Based on the number of long-distance train tickets sold, more than 39 thousand tickets.
